BIN FLAGPOLE AND DATA COLLECTION

Abstract:
The City of Manningham use ArcPad and GPS to collect the locations and descriptions of flagpoles and bins in the municipality. With the complete cadastre, containing property boundaries and addresses, as a backdrop and using customised forms the exact location of the bin or flagpole is marked with a specific B or F symbol. Address details are automatically populated and additional details such assessment time and date, asset type and condition are recorded by selecting from pick lists. A photograph is taken and linked to the location.
